Let there be light!

The HC08 Digitally Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) Reference Design Kit shows how to use the Freescale MC68HC908KX8/KX2 in a master-slave configuration where the units are communicating with a simple communication protocol intended for illumination control and similar purposes.

The Kit includes hardware (the Reference Design Boards), software (source code in C) amd comprehensive documentation.

To provide an easy starting point to enter DALI technology, a complete HC08 DALI Reference Design Document has been prepared by Freescale. Please download the DRM004 Designer Reference Manual to learn more about the DALI Reference Design.

About DALI

DALI is a new standard for communication between a controller and electronic ballast (ECG), developed by the lighting/home automation industry. It will be included as an appendix to ECG standard IEC 929.
